Permanent Commitment
to the Way of Life of the
Missionaries of Merciful Love

“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful” (Luke 6:36)

To the glory and honour of the Most Blessed, Merciful and Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I, __________________,  kneel before this sacred Image of my Merciful Savior, trusting in His goodness and love, assisted by the loving prayers of my beloved spiritual mother in Heaven, Mary, most holy and pure Virgin, my guardian angel, St. Therese and St. Faustina, my beloved sisters in the Lord and St. Joseph, Patron Saint of Canada.

With God’s grace, I now commit myself to living the way of life of the Missionaries of Merciful Love for the rest of my life, assisted by the grace of God, for apart from Jesus, I can do nothing. I will spend time each day reflecting on the word of God in contemplative prayer and my vocation to merciful love. I will strive to “put on the Lord Jesus Christ” and live a crucified and risen life with Christ my Lord and King.

I will ponder  the words of the way of life of the Missionaries of Merciful Love and do my best to translate them into my daily thoughts, words and actions. My first task will be to be consumed by the merciful love of God. I will strive to be holy.

I will do all in my power to spread the message of Divine Mercy, and lead as many people as possible to Jesus, seeking out opportunities to evangelize in ordinary situations, wherever the Holy Spirit leads me. I will use all the talents God has given me to proclaim the Gospel of God’s merciful love in Jesus Christ. I will spend at least one hour a week adoring the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world in an adoration chapel. I will make a monthly silent retreat.

I ask St. ____________* to be my patron saint to accompany me on my journey as a Missionary of Merciful Love. May God, the Father of mercies, be praised, adored, loved, glorified, magnified and blessed by all creatures in heaven, on earth, and below the earth!

Amen.

*  Choose a patron St. to accompany you on your life-long journey as a Missionary of Merciful Love, e.g. St. Therese, St. Faustina, St. Francis, St. Catherine of Sienna, St. Padre Pio, etc.
